Who we are

TGL was formed in 2005, bringing together extensive tidal industry knowledge and experience of its founding directors. TGL designed and assembled the 500kW demonstrator machine which was installed in Orkney and replaced by a 1 MW machine. In 2013 TGL was acquired by Alstom, the one of the world’s leading energy solutions and transport company. Alstom plans to develop TGL’s advanced tidal technology and is committed to bringing its cutting edge product to the market.
