Who we are

TGL was formed in 2005, bringing together the extensive tidal industry knowledge and experience of its founding directors. As a small engineering team, TGL designed and assembled the 500kW demonstrator machine currently installed in Orkney. In 2009 TGL became a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Plc and now benefits from Rolls-Royce’s expertise in the power generation and marine sectors.
